A 19-year-old man was shot in northwest Baltimore early Tuesday morning, according to a Baltimore Police spokesman.
The man was standing in the 3800 block of W. Belvedere Avenue, in the Arlington neighborhood, when he was approached by the suspect at about 12:35 a.m., said spokesman Anthony Guglielmi.
The suspect asked the victim if he had any marijuana, and when he said no, the suspect shot him in the chest, the spokesman said.
The victim's father and the victim flagged down police as they were headed to the hospital, Guglielmi said.
He was taken into surgery, and no further information about his condition was available, the spokesman said.
