City police have identified several recent homicide victims in killings dating back to May 8.
All of the cases remain unsolved and motives were not available, though each victim had recent drug arrests and convictions. The killings bring the city's total to 68 for the year, down 16 percent from this time last year.
•Mark Crockett, 34, of the 200 block of S. Herring Court was found lying on the ground in the 200 block of S. Spring Court about 9:25 p.m. Monday. He was near a basketball court, suffering from several gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Police initially reported the incident as having occurred in the 200 block of Ballou Court. The shooting, within the Perkins Homes public housing development, is the first recorded in the city's Southeast District this year.
•Michael Pryor, 32, was found after someone flagged down a patrol officer about 1:15 a.m. Saturday and said a man was on a front porch in the 2800 block of Harford Road and did not appear to be breathing.
Police found Pryor suffering from a stab wound to the chest. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:55 a.m.
•Jerome Booze Jr., 30, of the 5200 block of Elmer Ave. was found about 1 p.m. Friday in the 3300 block of Paton Ave., near the Pimlico Race Course.
Booze's body was found under a rear porch. He had been shot in the head and appeared to have been dead for some time. Police were investigating whether an overnight 911 call was related.
•Michael Carroway, 50, of the 2900 block of Ridgeway Ave. was found about 3:30 a.m. May 12 in the 4300 block of Daytona Ave. in the Towanda-Grantley neighborhood of Northwest Baltimore.
He was lying in the street, suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was taken to Sinai Hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.
•Anthony Crist, 42, of the 1000 block of E. Baltimore St. was found May 8 in the alley behind the 500 block of N. Collington Ave.
Police said he had a gunshot wound to the neck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
