Fire damages house in N.W. Baltimore; no one injured

No one was injured in a house fire Northwest Baltimore Thursday morning, a spokesman said.

A fire was reported in the 4800 block of Gwynn Oak Ave. around 9 a.m. this morning. The fire was contained to a bedroom in the house, but officials elevated the call to a second alarm just to ensure there were sufficient resources, said fire spokesman Chief Kevin Cartwright.

The blaze was extinguished before support teams arrived, he said.
