Police on Friday made an arrest in the November murder of a 21-year-old who was shot in the chest while walking his dog outside the Cherry Hill Homes public housing development.

Police identified the suspect as Rodney Hall, 33, also known as Ronald Hall.

Hall, of the 1100 block of Cherry Hill Road, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of Angelo Dangerfield on Nov. 25 in 2800 block of Spelman Road, police said.

He was picked up in the 1100 block of Cherry Hill Road Friday night. Department spokeswoman Nicole Monroe could not give a motive or details about what led police to Hall.

When police arrived at the scene in November, they found Dangerfield shot in the chest with his pit bull Princess circling his body. Closed-circuit camera footage from the neighborhood shows Dangerfield walking the dog, a morning ritual. But by the time the camera pans around, he is on the ground.

Dangerfield, a Southwestern High School graduate, was working with the Baltimore housing department through its "Step Up" program, which provides hands-on training in building and rehabilitating local construction projects.

Hall has been charged with multiple crimes including drug and handgun possession and assault, including assault with intent to murder, for which he was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 1996.
