The Baltimore Police Department initiated padlock proceedings Friday on a Northeast Baltimore club where three people were shot last week, the latest in a push by police to curb violence at city businesses.
Club Uzo in the 4800 block of Belair Road was served with a padlock notice after 6 p.m., with police citing multiple incidents of violence. The club is just a few blocks from Club 410, which was padlocked by city police last year and whose manager was indicted federally on charges that she was part of a gang conspiracy.
Neighbors said both clubs were a magnet for violence. A hearing date is set for April 15.
