A two-alarm house fire early Thursday morning in East Baltimore sent one person to the hospital and took firefighters more than an hour to bring under control, according to a fire department spokesman.
The blaze, in the 1700 block of Montpelier St., started about 1 a.m., according to the fire department.
One man was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
A fire department spokesman said four families were displaced.
