Police were investigating the shooting death of a man Wednesday morning in West Baltimore.

Officers found the man suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and torso about 8:30 a.m. in the 2100 block of Edmondson Ave., police said.

Officers were also investigating the discovery a man found dead in the 3200 block of Whitman Drive, near Lake Montebello. The man, who appeared to be in his 30s or 40s, was found unresponsive and police were waiting for the medical examiner to determine a cause of death.

It was not immediately clear if there were any signs of foul play.
