Part of N. Eutaw St. remains closed as water main repair work continues

Crews continued to work Saturday morning to repair a water main break that Friday night shut down streets in West Baltimore and left several buildings without water.

Kurt Kocher, spokesman for Baltimore's Department of Public Works, said 10:15 a.m. Saturday that about 15 buildings near the intersection of Franklin and Eutaw streets were without water but that he expected it to be back on shortly.

The 500 block of North Eutaw Street remained closed Saturday morning while a contractor was working to repair the 12-inch main that broke Friday evening. The contractor had been doing work in the area, but not on that specific line, when it broke, Kocher said.
