Man fatally shot in East Baltimore identified

Baltimore Police have identified a man who was fatally shot in East Baltimore Tuesday afternoon.

Raymond Gibson, 21, was walking with a cousin and another man on the 1700 block of N. Caroline Street at about 2:45 p.m. when an unknown man across the street showed a handgun and began firing, police said.

Gibson was struck in the head and fell to the ground, according to police. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:30 p.m., according to police.
