Fatal shooting in Baltimore City

Two men were shot, one fatally, in separate incidents in Baltimore City on Saturday morning, police said.

Officers responding to a report of a shooting on the 4700 block of Liberty Heights Avenue at around 12:24 a.m. located a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Police identified the victim as Ronald Brown, 25, and he was transported to a local hospital, where police said he died of his injuries. The suspect, police said, might have fled the location on foot.

Homicide detectives continue to investigate the incident, police said. Brown last lived in the 3000 block of Erdman Ave.

At approximately 8:54 a.m., officers responding to the report of a shooting at West Pratt and South Payson streets discovered a man with a gunshot in the foot. The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment; the incident is still under investigation, police said.

Police also reported that a man walked into an area hospital with a gunshot wound to his forearm at 3:01 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Detectives from police's Western District are investigating to determine the location of the crime, police said.
