A missing 12-year-old girl was located Wednesday morning unharmed about two hours after Baltimore authorities issued an Amber Alert through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
Maryland State Police Sgt. Debbie Flory confirmed Heydi Chavarria, who was last seen in Baltimore, was found and the Amber Alert canceled around 12:59 a.m.
The alert was first sent out Tuesday around 10:55 p.m., stating the girl could be in a silver Honda Accord with a Maryland license plate and number that reads 8DM8821. A 23-year-old man was named as an “associated companion.”
Flory referred questions to Baltimore Police Department. Officials with the department did not immediately return a request for comment Wednesday.
