A 24-inch water main broke Sunday near Overlea, affecting some nearby homes and businesses and causing Belair Road to be shut down, public works officials said.
Officials on Sunday morning announced the break at Belair Road and Fowler Avenue. Crews closed Belair Road at the 4500 and 7600 blocks during the repairs.
The work continued into Sunday evening and officials said additional outages may occur as the repairs proceed.
