One man dead, another shot in Baltimore early Saturday

A man was shot in the head and killed, and another suffered a gunshot wound to the thigh in separate Baltimore attacks early Saturday, according to police.

The first incident happened just before 1 a.m. in the 3700 block of Bonview Avenue in the city's Belair-Edison neighborhood, police said. Officers found a 37-year-old man suffering at least one gunshot wound to the head and he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The second attack was in the 3200 block of Chelsea Terrace around 1:30 a.m., police said. Officers found a 35-year-old man shot in the thigh and buttocks, according to police. The victim described being shot by a person who drove up in a vehicle, police said. He was taken to a local hospital.
