Two people critically injured in Upton house fire, Baltimore Police say

Two people are in critical condition after a home caught on fire in Baltimore’s Upton neighborhood on Tuesday, Baltimore Police said.

Officers arrived around 9:24 a.m. at the 800 block of Edmondson Avenue for a report of a fire. When they arrived, officers found a 26-year-old man and a woman, suffering from multiple injuries.

On the upper level of the home, fire personnel found an unharmed 5-year-old child. Medics arrived to the scene and transported the victims to area hospitals where the man and woman are listed in critical condition.

Baltimore Police said this is an open and active investigation and more information will be released once it becomes available.
