A 2-year-old accidentally shot his father over the weekend in Southwest Baltimore, police confirmed.
Police said the father was shot in his side, in their home in the 400 block of North Bend Road, in the Westgate neighborhood on Sunday around 11 a.m..
The boy was not injured, and the father was treated and released from a hospital. It was not clear how the child acquired the weapon.
No charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
