The two-year-old boy who died in a one-alarm fire in Reservoir Hill was identified Thursday by Baltimore fire officials.
Nasir Smith died after a rowhouse in the 800 block of Whitelock St. caught fire on January 13, said fire department spokesman Capt. Roman Clark.
Workers at a nearby construction site rushed into the burning rowhouse and saved two of his siblings, fire officials said.
Smith's family could not be reached for comment Thursday.
His funeral is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church at 1526 N. Fremont Ave. in Baltimore.
Smith is the city's first fire death of the year. Last year, city officials counted a total of 17 deaths.
