Fire spokesman Battalion Chief Kevin Cartwright says no injuries or illnesses have been reported either. He says firefighters are monitoring air quality at the stations.
The Maryland Transit Administration says the Baltimore Metro stations were closed about noon Monday.
Bus service has been requested from Johns Hopkins Station to West Cold Spring Stations.
