Man killed in overnight shooting in Baltimore that also injured 16-year-old

A 16-year-old was shot and a man was killed overnight in Baltimore, one of two incidents city police reported Sunday.

Officers responded to 5900 block of Bowleys Lane in Northeast Baltimore around midnight where they found a man with gunshot wounds. The man, who was not immediately identified, was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

Within minutes, a second victim from the shooting, a 16-year-old boy, walked into an area hospital with gunshot wounds.

In another incident, Western District officers heard gunfire around noon Sunday while they were patrolling the Pennsylvania Avenue corridor. They discovered a man in the 600 block of Cumberland Street who was unresponsive after being shot. He was taken to a hospital where police said he died a short time later.
