Five injured in weekend city shootings

Five men were injured in separate shootings in Baltimore over the weekend — and at least three of them took themselves to the hospital, police said.

A man was shot in the face at about 10:20 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Marydell Rd. in Irvington, police said.

Just before 7 p.m. Sunday, police were called to a hospital, where a man with a gunshot wound to the chest told them he'd been shot in the 3700 block of Saint Victor St. in Brooklyn.

Another man who had been shot walked into an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the foot at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, police said Sunday. Detectives don't know where the shooting took place, and ask anyone who has information about the shooting call them at 410-396-2411.

Detectives determined that a third incident, in which a man was shot in the foot Saturday morning, took place in the 1900 block of Lemmon Street, police said Sunday. Police had initially reported the location of the shooting, which happened about 8:54 a.m., at West Pratt and South Payson streets. Anyone with information is asked to call Southern District detectives at 410-396-2499.

Detectives also determined that a man who walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound to the forearm about 3:01 p.m. Saturday was shot in the 2800 block of W. Lanvale Street, police said. Police ask anyone with information to call 410-396-2477.

Police did not give any information on motives or suspects in the shootings, and none of the victims' conditions were released.
