Seven people injured in weekend violence, including a triple shooting, Baltimore Police say

At least seven people were injured Saturday and Sunday in five separate shootings in Baltimore, police said.

On Saturday night, three people received non-life-threatening injuries in a Brooklyn shooting, Baltimore Police said in a news release.


Officers arrived at the 3600 block of Fifth Street at about 10:45 p.m. and found two victims, a 31-year-old woman and a man, suffering from gunshot wounds. Police also found a 19-year-old man with gunshot wounds in the 4000 block of East Patapsco Avenue. All three victims were taken to a hospital.

Early Sunday morning, a 27-year-old man received a gunshot wound to his foot in a downtown shooting, police said.

At about 2 a.m. Sunday, officers on a foot patrol heard a gunshot in the 400 block of East Baltimore Street, a few blocks from Baltimore Police Department Headquarters. The victim was taken to a hospital. Officers took two 26-year-old men into custody in connection with the shooting.

On Sunday afternoon, police responded to the 2100 block of East Hoffman Street in Broadway East for a ShotSpotter alert. No victims were at the scene when officers arrived at about 1:15 p.m., but a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound walked into a hospital, police said.

A few hours later, a 31-year-old man was shot in Frankford, police said. Officers arrived at 5000 block of Truesdale at about 3:35 p.m. Sunday. Police said the victim was taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds in his abdomen.

Police responded to a report of a shooting in Southeast Baltimore on Saturday that injured a 32-year-old man.

Southeast District patrol officers found the man after they were summoned to the 3300 block of Esther Place at about 5:20 p.m. He was suffering from an “apparent gunshot wound” to the arm, police said.


The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

No further information was available about the case.
