Man killed in shooting in Parkside Wednesday night

Baltimore Police investigate two shootings Wednesday night.

Baltimore Police are investigating two shootings that occurred Wednesday night in the city — one of them fatal.

A man was found suffering from gunshot wounds in Baltimore's Parkside neighborhood on Wednesday night, Baltimore Police said. On Thursday morning, police said the man had died in the hospital. He has not yet been identified.

Officers received a call for a shooting in the 4700 block of Parkside Drive near Lower Herring Run Park. They arrived at 8:50 p.m. and found an unidentified man with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body, police said.

At 9:55 p.m. officers were also called to the 1800 block of Penrose Avenue in Franklin Square, where they found a man with a gunshot wound to his upper body.

The man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
