Man, 29, shot in Southwest Baltimore dies

A 29-year-old man was shot in the chest in Southwest Baltimore Tuesday, police said.

A 29-year-old man shot in the chest in Southwest Baltimore Tuesday later died from his injuries, police said.

Officers were called at about 3:15 p.m. to the 5200 block of Windsor Mill Road in the Wakefield neighborhood, where they found the man injured, police said. He was taken to a hospital, and his condition was not released, and later died.

Police identified him on Wednesday as Brian Johnson, 29.

Baltimore police on Tuesday also identified the man killed in the 500 block of North Mount St. in West Baltimore Monday as 26-year-old Junanito Mosquita.

Police have not identified any suspects. Witnesses told homicide detectives they heard gun shots and saw a black male wearing a black jacket run from the alley.

Police on Tuesday also released information about another shooting that occurred on Edmondson Avenue in Monday night.

Officers were called at 9:16 p.m. to the 3000 block, where they found the victim suffering from numerous gunshot wounds to the upper body.

He was taken to an area hospital where he is being treated for non life-threatening injuries.
