Baltimore police were investigating five shootings – including one that left a man dead – on Tuesday.
Police said a 42-year-old man was found shot multiple times in the 5100 block of Park Heights Ave. in Central Park Heights at 8:11 p.m. He died at a local hospital.
Police offered no information about a suspect or possible motive, but asked anyone with information to call 410-396-2100.
Four other shootings happened throughout the day in various parts of the city.
The first occurred in the 4000 block of W. Cold Spring Lane at about 12:50 a.m. There, police found a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Police said a suspect description and a motive were not available.
The second shooting occurred in the 4100 block of Elderon Ave. at about 4:23 p.m. Officers found a 27-year old man with a gunshot wound to his face. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
In the third, police found a 31-year old woman with a gunshot wound to her arm in the 3200 block of W. Garrison Ave. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Less than 15 minutes earlier, a bullet grazed a 24-year-old man's head at about 5:43 p.m. when he was shot at while riding his bike in the 1300 block of N. Longwood St. in the Rosemont neighborhood, police said. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
