Three shot, one fatally, in Baltimore

Three men were shot, one fatally, in separate incidents Sunday in Baltimore, police said.

A 24-year-old man was killed when he was shot multiple times at about 2:10 a.m. in the 2300 block of McCulloh St. in Northwest Baltimore's Penn North neighborhood, police said.

In the same neighborhood on Christmas Eve, a 29-year-old man was shot in the back at Druid Hill Avenue and Cloverdale Road, less than a half mile away.

Police have not said whether the two shootings are connected, and no suspect or motive information was released in either case. Anyone with information in the killing may call homicide detectives at 410-396-2100.

Later Sunday, a 24-year-old man was injured when a bullet grazed his head in West Baltimore, police said.

The victim arrived around noon at a city hospital. He told police he was shot in the 1900 block of W. Lexington St., police said. He is expected to survive, police said.

Western District detectives and SWAT units remained on the scene Sunday, and police asked that drivers avoid the area.

Another man was injured when he was shot in the arm in the 400 block of Edgewood St., police said. Southwestern District detectives investigating, and anyone with information may call 410-396-2488.
