An man was shot shortly after 10 p.m. in the back in the 1700 block of Presstman St. near the Gilmor Homes, police said in a statement Wednesday night.
Detectives are investigating, police said. No other information about the shooting was immediately available.
In May, two men were killed in separate incidents near the scene of Wednesday's shooting, in the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood.
Jalil Al-Salim, 50, was stabbed to death May 21 near the intersection of Baker Street and North Fulton Avenue.
Donte Larkins, 33, was shot May 25 near the intersection of Presstman and North Monroe streets.
