The victim, a 52-year-old man, was struck by a minivan in the 500 block of E. Fayette St. in downtown Baltimore about 3 p.m. Friday, according to Baltimore police. He is still in the hospital where he’s receiving treatment for his injuries.

Police said Friday they believed the minivan driver and the pedestrian were both in court earlier in the day. The minivan driver remained at the scene of the accident, police said. Traffic was backed up in the vicinity on Friday afternoon.
