Baltimore firefighters were called to two overnight fires, department officials said Thursday morning.
The first blaze was reported just after midnight, at 4770 Elison Ave. in the northeast neighborhood of Parkside. Officials said flames were coming from the basement of the two-story rowhouse and extended to the first and second floors. The fire was placed under control at 1:16 a.m.
Firefighters were called at 3:18 a.m. to two homes, 4208 and 4210 Granada Ave. in the Dorchester neighborhood in northwest Baltimore, where flames were seen coming from the roof at 4210. The fire had extended to the neighboring home. Fire officials said residents from both homes got out before firefighters arrived. The fire was placed under control at 4:31 a.m.
No injuries were reported in either fire. The cause of both remains under investigation.
