Arrests made in pair of Baltimore homicides

Two men have been arrested in connection with a pair of homicides last week, city police announced Friday.

Detectives arrested Glen Banks, 29, of the 3100 block Belmont Ave. in connection with the slaying of Darryl Xavier Whitehead of the 900 block of Druid Park Drive. Whitehead, 25, was killed on Nov. 4 in the 2200 block N. Fulton Ave., police said.

Also arrested was Jamison Michael Deberry, 33, of the 3200 block Lohrs Lane. Deberry is being held in connection with the killing of James Myers Dews, 69, who was slain Nov. 5 in his home in the 4000 block Grantley Road, police said.

Both men are being held in Central Booking without bail, awaiting trial, police said.
