Three-story home catches fire in Union Square

A three-story home caught fire in the Union Square neighborhood of Baltimore Wednesday night.

Firefighters were called to the 1300 block of W. Lombard St., where the fire was extinguished by about 11:15 p.m.

No one was injured, and neighborhood services were assisting any displaced residents, Fire Department spokesman Capt. Roman Clark said. The fire was contained to one dwelling, he said.

W. Lombard Street was temporarily closed at the intersection with S. Carey Street while firefighters responded to the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
