After Washington was shot, police said he worked as a security officer but was not working at the time of the shooting.

Police spokesman T.J. Smith said the shooting "apparently stems from a dispute that occurred inside" a local venue, and had "nothing to do with" Washington's work as a security officer.

State Police said Washington was licensed as a security guard with the All Secure Security Company of Baltimore and registered as a private detective with Centurion Protection and Investigations.

Police asked anyone with information about the man's identity to call homicide detectives at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP
