Police investigating the shooting death of an off-duty security officer last month in East Baltimore asked for help Monday identifying a man in a photograph.
Antonio Washington was found with a gunshot wound to his head early on the morning of April 17 in the 600 block of N. Duncan Street in the city's CARE neighborhood, police said. He died at a local hospital.
The black-and-white photograph released Monday shows a man with close-cropped hair and a beard wearing a white or light-colored T-shirt with the words "The Plug" and an electrical plug.
Police did not say why they wanted to identify the man or how he might have been associated with Washington's death.
After Washington was shot, police said he worked as a security officer but was not working at the time of the shooting.
Police spokesman T.J. Smith said the shooting "apparently stems from a dispute that occurred inside" a local venue, and had "nothing to do with" Washington's work as a security officer.
State Police said Washington was licensed as a security guard with the All Secure Security Company of Baltimore and registered as a private detective with Centurion Protection and Investigations.
Police asked anyone with information about the man's identity to call homicide detectives at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP
