Two separate fender-benders — one of them with a car catching fire — closed the Harbor Tunnel in Baltimore for more than two hours Monday morning, prompting long backups, authorities said.
Two people were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries in the crashes, which happened just after 8 a.m. and were cleared from the tunnel just before 10:30 a.m., Maryland Transportation Authority police said.
The cause of the crashes is under investigation, police said.
