A crash inside the Harbor Tunnel in Baltimore Tuesday night injured three people, trapping at least one of them, Maryland Transportation Authority police said.
Two vehicles driving north on Interstate 895 inside the tunnel collided at about 9 p.m., police spokesman Sgt. Jonathan Green said.
The people's injuries were not life-threatening, he said. No further information about the crash was available.
The crash closed the expressway's northbound lanes, and drivers were diverted to the Childs Street exit. The Office of Emergency Management encouraged drivers to take Interstates 95 or 695.
The expressway was reopened by about 10:40 p.m., the Office of Emergency Management said.
