Three people were injured, including one person who jumped from a third-floor balcony, after a two-alarm fire broke out at an apartment building in Irvington Sunday morning, a Baltimore fire department spokesman said.
Firefighters were called at 9:55 a.m. to 6 N. Woodington Road, where they found heavy fire coming from the third floor of an apartment building, said Samuel Johnson, a fire department spokesman. Additional units were requested due to the extent of the blaze.
One person was injured after jumping from the third floor, Johnson said. Two others were also treated for injuries. Johnson said all three victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries. About 50 firefighters responded. None were injured, Johnson said.
Ten families were displaced as a result of the blaze, Johnson said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
