Firefighters battled a one-alarm blaze that broke out across three rowhomes in West Baltimore Wednesday morning, a fire spokesman said.
The fire was reported at 10:53 a.m. in the 1700 block of N. Smallwood Street, just blocks south of North Ave., said fire department spokesman Samuel Johnson, Jr. It was placed under control at 11:34 a.m.
The response from fire crews stopped traffic at N. Smallwood. It was unclear how many people were displaced, but Johnson said everyone made it out of the homes safely. Neighborhood services were requested to help those displaced, he said.
Johnson said it is unclear if all three homes were occupied.
No civilians were injured, but one firefighter suffered a minor injury and taken to an area hospital, he said.
