A man and woman died in a house fire Saturday afternoon in Southwest Baltimore, fire officials said.

The pair appeared to have died from smoke inhalation and burns from the fire in the 400 block of S. Fulton Ave., said Chief Kevin Cartwright, Baltimore Fire Department spokesman. An official cause of death will have to be determined by the state medical examiner, he said.
