An 82-year-old woman died after her car struck a tree near her home in northwest Baltimore.
Police identified the victim on Thursday as Sonia Greenspon of the 6200 block of Benhurst Road. Police said she was driving a Nissan Versa east in 6400 Cross Country Boulevard just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday when the crash occurred.
She was taken to an area hospital where she later died from her injuries, police said. An online obituary said Greenspon was a grandmother and great-grandmother.
The department's CRASH team is investigating and are asking anyone who witnessed this accident to call 410-396-2606.
