A young boy died in a crash between a Maryland Transit Administration bus and an SUV in Northwest Baltimore Monday night, police said.
The boy was in the SUV, headed east on W. Northern Parkway, when it struck the back of the bus at about 6:20 p.m. at the intersection with Wabash Avenue, police said. He and the woman driving the SUV were hospitalized. The boy later died; she was expected to survive her injuries, police said.
Neither was identified by police. The woman's condition and the cause of the crash were not released. Police said no one on the bus was injured.
Baltimore police and MTA police remained on the scene investigating the crash Monday night.
