Fire in downtown Baltimore suspends Light RailLink service between North Avenue and Patapsco stations

The Maryland Department of Transportation said the Light RailLink service in a portion of downtown Baltimore is suspended due to a fire.

The department said in a service advisory issued just before 9 p.m. that a fire near Howard and Saratoga Streets caused the service to stop.

Service between North Avenue and Patapsco stations was shut down until further notice, the department said, but a shuttle bus service was being put in place to help accommodate passengers making stops in between the two.

The Baltimore City Fire Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
