The driver was pulled from his car and assaulted by a male companion of the dirt bike rider, police said.

Both the driver and the dirt bike rider were taken to hospitals. The driver was treated and released, while the dirt bike rider was still hospitalized Sunday and is facing traffic charges.

The person who assaulted the driver has not been identified. Anyone with information is asked to call Southern district detectives at 410-396-2499.

The incident came as a dirt bike rider struck and seriously injured a female pedestrian who was in town for the Beyonce concert Friday night. In that case, the dirt bike rider has not been found.

There is no evidence the two incidents are related, a police spokeswoman said.
