Police: Cyclist killed after West Baltimore crash

A 25-year-old man riding a bicycle was struck and killed Wednesday as he maneuvered around an unoccupied parked car in West Baltimore, police said.

At about 1:34 p.m., police said the cyclist was headed south on North Gilmor Street when he rode around the parked car. He was struck by the driver of a 2001 Honda Odyssey, who was driving west on Edmondson Avenue, police said.

The driver of the Honda was not injured. The man on the bicycle was pronounced dead at the scene, and are withholding his name until next of kin is notified.
