A 20-year-old Michigan woman died after she was hit by a stolen motorcycle shortly after midnight Sunday in Harbor East, Baltimore police said.
Kellie Halushka, of Troy, Michigan, walked into the intersection of Fleet and Exeter streets when she was hit by a 2015 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by a 48-year-old man. Halushka was taken to an area hospital where she died.
The driver was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Police said the cause of the crash is initially believed to be pedestrian error. But police said the motorcycle operator faces charges after detectives found the motorcycle had been reported stolen from Baltimore County.
Detectives continue to investigate the crash, according to police.
