The Charm City Circulator is coming to Johns Hopkins.

The free bus service's Purple route, which runs from Federal Hill to Penn Station, will be extended about a mile and a half up to 33rd Street, near the university's Homewood campus on Oct. 5, the city's transportation department said.

Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake in July reversed a controversial plan to cut the service's Banner route, which connects Locust Point to the Inner Harbor, and reduce service on the Green and Orange routes, which run from East and West Baltimore to downtown.
