Man struck, killed by bus in Northwest Baltimore

A bus struck and killed a man near the Penn–North MetroSubwayLink station in West Baltimore Sunday morning in what police described an accident.

Around 8:30 Sunday morning, a Baltimore Police officer was called to an unidentified man in the middle of the street in the 1500 block of W. North Ave., police spokesperson detective Donny Moses said.

The officer found that the man was in the street when a 2008 Ford bus hit him, Moses said. The bus remained at the scene, where the man was pronounced dead.

Baltimore’s Crash Team is still investigating the incident, although it is “unclear” what happened leading up to the incident, Moses said.
