A 44-year-old man was shot in the back at a South Baltimore barbershop Thursday, police said.
The victim, who was not identified by police, was hospitalized in critical condition at about 5:47 p.m. after the shooting in the first block of W. Patapsco Ave. in Brooklyn, police said.
Police said the victim and another man got into an argument inside the shop that led to the shooting. It wasn't clear whether he was shot inside or outside, police said, but officers found him lying injured on the sidewalk.
A person of interest was detained at the scene, police said.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene due to the severity of the victim's injuries. Anyone with information may call 410-396-2100.
