A 55-year-old man was struck and killed while crossing the street on the 5500 block of Belair Road Thursday night, police said.
Officers were called around 7 p.m. and found the man lying injured in the street, where he had been hit by a Toyota Camry driving southbound, police said. He was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
The driver of the Camry remained on the scene. Detectives continue to investigate.
Police directed traffic around the Camry, still parked in the street with its windshield shattered around 9:30 p.m. Later, a tow truck removed it and another car from the road.
