Baltimore police said Thursday they had arrested a 38-year-old man who allegedly shot a 60-year-old in the groin.
Jermaine Jones, whose last known address was in the 7500 block of Marston Road, was arrested Oct. 29, the same day as the shooting. Police had responded to reports of a shooting in the 6300 block of Reisterstown Road in Northwest Baltimore. They found the shooting victim nearby in the 4100 block of Pinkney Road, where he was sitting on some steps bleeding.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital. According to a police report, interviews with the victim and others led officers to identify Jones as a suspect.
Jones remains in the Baltimore City Detention Center on charges of attempted first-degree murder, assault and gun charges. No attorney was listed in court records for Jones.
