A boat caught fire on the water near Canton Waterfront Park on Saturday afternoon, city officials said.
Officials with the fire department and the Mayor's Office of Emergency Management said a fire boat response team was called at 12:40 p.m., and the crew found heavy smoke showing from the 34-foot long vessel.
Firefighters placed the blaze under control at 1:20 p.m.
One person from the boat was treated at the scene, but refused transport to a hospital, officials said. No firefighters were injured.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
