Police ID man fatally shot on porch in city's Waverly area
Baltimore police have identified a Waverly man who died last night after he was shot outside a home in his neighborhood, two days before his 22nd birthday, according to Baltimore police.
Police said the man, Mark Vines, was taken by a Fire Department ambulance to Johns Hopkins Hospital and was pronounced dead at 8:04 p.m.
A gunman approached four men were sitting on the porch of the house in the 600 block of McKewin Ave. near Frisby Street last night and shot the victim, said Agent Donny Moses, a police spokesman.
Northern District police responding shortly after 7 p.m. to the report of a shooting found the victim bleeding from at least one gunshot wound to the lower back.
