Police investigate apparent homicide in Brooklyn

Baltimore police were investigating the apparent slaying of a man in Baltimore's Brooklyn neighborhood early this morning, after the man was found wounded on a city street.

Police found the man shortly after 3 a.m. lying in the 1000 block of Jack Place and suffering from a wound to his head. How he died was not immediately clear, and detectives are awaiting an autopsy by the state medical examiner's office to determine his cause of death, police said.

His identity was not immediately available and police did not release details about a possible suspect or motive in the man's killing.
