A 15-year-old boy who was shot in Southwest Baltimore on Oct. 6 has died of his wounds at Maryland Shock Trauma Center, a city police spokesman said this morning.
The victim was identified as Delvon Butts of the 2100 block of McHenry St. Police said he was pronounced dead yesterday after having undergone surgery.
Police spokesman Donny Moses said the shooting occurred about 10 p.m. in the 200 block of S. Smallwood St. when a gunman opened fire on two men standing near a corner. One young man was wounded in both legs and was taken to Shock Trauma; his condition could not be determined.
Moses said Butts was shot in the buttocks and back and was in critical condition at the hospital until he died yesterday. Police have not made any arrests in the case.
